inexplicably dolled up for a day inside the house. it's what procrastination does to me.

I was coasting along on the joy of a successful chinese new year dumpling dinner party/ glutton fest and then everyone had to go and i felt sad and lonely. So i took photos of myself to put on the internet.

Also decided to be productive and list a mini wardrobe clear out on ebay. Very reluctantly letting go of some J W Anderson.

i've been listening to jens lekman's supreme ep non stop, it almost makes the morning commute fun. i like the feeling of being very matchy matchy when dressing myself - got spots on spots today (to match my spotty face, haha). the last few weeks have been über busy which almost justifies my recent indulgent splurges. got some lovely dr martens in the sale, but my wonderful wonderful boy bought me the most beautiful apc sandals. then i got myself in a bit of tizz in liberty this evening whilst going through the remaining bits of their sale - got that carven flared leather skirt i've been coveting for the last few months and a pretty silk sea ny dress.

i wouldn't usually advocate this type of rash indulgence, but i'm enjoying my grown up regular income and i've got pretty shoes to dance to jens in so i'm okay with it.

happy 2012 everyone!

i'll be 22 this year (oh dear, that seems old) and i'm still/already hankering for a summer holiday. here's hoping we can all pick up some californian sun, pretty dresses and skinny boys in hawaiian shirts a la gia coppola's short film for opening ceremony.
